Indian women’s football marks a milestone as Kiran Pisda and M K Kashmina secure professional contracts with the renowned Croatian club WFC Dinamo Zagreb.

Indian women’s football witnesses a historic moment as Kiran Pisda and M K Kashmina land professional contracts with the prestigious Croatian club WFC Dinamo Zagreb.

Their selection comes after participating in the ‘Women in Sports Elite Football Trials, second edition,’ a collaborative effort between Women in Sports, the AMPL Foundation, and the Football Players’ Association of India.

Held at the AIFF training centre in Rajarhat, the trials saw 27 talented female footballers aiming for spots in clubs from Australia and Europe. The head coaches from various renowned clubs, including WFC Dinamo Zagreb, evaluated the participants at the AIFF’s National Centre of Excellence in Kolkata.

Kiran Pisda, formerly with Kerala Blasters, and M K Kashmina, who previously played for Gokulam and the national team, captured the attention of the selection committee at WFC Dinamo Zagreb. Their standout performances in the domestic league played a pivotal role in their selection.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Kiran Pisda stated, “Joining WFC Dinamo Zagreb is a thrilling opportunity. I aim to leverage the confidence gained from my domestic performances to excel on this international platform.”

Equally excited, Kashmina shared, “Playing in Europe has always been a dream. I am eager to gain valuable experience at the highest level and contribute to the team.”

Marija Margareta Damjanovic, Head Coach & Sports Director at WFC Dinamo Zagreb, expressed delight in adding quality players to the team and highlighted the significance of healthy competition among the players.

Sanaya, the Founder and Director of Women in Sports, emphasized the organization’s vision to provide Indian athletes with international opportunities, showcasing the success of Kiran and Kashmina as an achievement of their commitment.
