Indian Men’s Hockey Team Heads To Europe For FIH Pro League 2025-26

The Indian Men’s Hockey Team left Bengaluru on Saturday night and is heading to Europe for the FIH Hockey Pro League 2025-26, where they will play against some of the world’s finest hockey nations.

The team is going to Brussels, Belgium, via Abu Dhabi. They will have a training camp from June 7 to June 9. During this camp, India will play a match in Brussels. These matches are to train the team and get them used to the conditions. 

After the training, the Indian team will go to Rotterdam in the Netherlands on June 10. This is for the start of their campaign. India will play against Germany and the Netherlands in the FIH Hockey Pro League from June 14 to June 21.

The team will then go to London, England, for the next part of their tour. There, they will play against Pakistan and England from June 23 to June 28.

India will play each of the four teams twice during the leg. The matches against Pakistan are on June 23 and June 26.

Harmanpreet Singh Confident Ahead Of FIH Hockey Pro League

Before the team left, Captain Harmanpreet Singh said he was confident about the team’s preparations.

He said,  “The European leg of the Pro League is always a great test because you are up against some of the best teams in the world in their home conditions. We have prepared well during our training camp in Bengaluru, and the players are looking forward to competing at the highest level.”

He continued, saying, “Our objective is to play fearless hockey, remain disciplined in key moments and continue evolving as a group. The upcoming matches will give us an excellent opportunity to assess ourselves against top-quality opposition and continue building momentum as a team,” the captain added. “Our focus will be on executing our plans consistently, improving with every game and ensuring that we make the most of this tour. The Pro League is an important platform for us to gain experience, strengthen combinations and continue our progress as a unit. We are excited for the challenge and eager to give our best for India.”

Key Opportunity Ahead Of Major Tournaments

The European leg of the Pro League is a chance for India to get valuable points. They are also preparing for events like the FIH Hockey World Cup and the Asian Games.

India will start their campaign against the Netherlands Men’s National Hockey Team on June 14 at 7:30 PM IST, in Rotterdam.
