Indonesia Masters 2021 SF: Anders Antonsen wins against Srikanth Kidambi comfortably, advances into the final

At the Indonesia Masters 2021 SF, in Men’s Singles encounter, Anders Antonsen comfortably won against Srikanth Kidambi in two straight games 21-14, 21-9. In the final, he will face No. 1 seed Japan’s Kento Momota. 

At the Indonesia Masters 2021 SF, one of the Men’s Singles encounters was played between Denmark’s Anders Antonsen and India’s Srikanth Kidambi on Saturday, 20th November 2021.

The ongoing Indonesia Masters is a Super 750 Level Tournament held at the Bali International Convention Centre located at Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia from 16th to 21st November.

Meanwhile, the tournament got upgraded from a Super 500 into a Super 750 this year.

Indonesia Masters 2021 SF: Anders Antonsen into the Final, to face Kento Momota

This Men’s Singles Semi-finals match was played at Court 1. Anders Antonsen is World No. 3 whereas his opponent Srikanth Kidambi is Ranked 15th in the world.

In the Head-to-Head Record, it’s 2-1 in favour of Anders Antonsen. They last met in the BWF World Tour Finals 2020 where Antonsen won in three games.

At the 2021 Indonesia Masters, Antonsen is the No. 3 seed while Kidambi is unseeded. In this Semi-finals encounter, the Danish won the 1st Game by 21-14. It was a close contest at the beginning. But the situation changed as Anders Antonsen was leading by 8-5. By the mid-game interval, the lead became 11-6. However, in the latter half, Srikanth Kidambi earned 5 straight points as he went from 12-6 to 12-11. But Anders Antonsen maintained his calm as from 17-14 he won 4 consecutive points to win the game in about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, in the 2nd Game, from being levelled at 4-4, the 24-year-old Antonsen won 8 straight points to lead by 12-4. The Danish shuttler was dominating and didn’t give Srikanth Kidambi any opportunity to make a comeback. Anders Antonsen eventually won the game by 21-9 & clinched the match.

As a result, Anders Antonsen won the match against Srikanth Kidambi in two straight games 21-14, 21-9 in about forty-one minutes. Antonsen has advanced into the next round – the Final, where he will face Japan’s Kento Momota.
