IPL 2021: 3 Reasons why Chennai Super Kings Loss against Mumbai Indians?

The table toppers lost in the high scoring game.

Today, We witnessed the highest-scoring game in this year’s IPL. Where CSK posted 218 Runs on the board, MI went on to win the match in the end registering their highest ever chase in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Here are the possible reasons for CSK’s loss today :

1.Poor Bowling Display

CSK star-studded bowling collapsed against the mighty Mumbai Indians. None of the bowlers except Jadeja & Sam Curran none of the bowlers were economical. Lungi Ngidi & Shardul Thakur’s poor performance continues the duo got absolutely thrashed and Skipper MS Dhoni now might be thinking to replace both the bowlers by the next game.

2. Dropping Catches

One of the main reasons for CSK’s loss is no dropped catches, Even the Best fielders were seen having issues while taking an easy catch. Faf Du Plessis dropping Kieron Pollard’s catch left the team nowhere.

3. CSK couldn’t assess the pitch conditions

Skipper Dhoni absolutely failed to assess the condition of the pitch. We know that Arun Jaitley Stadium is quite small in terms of comparing with other grounds, the reason why CSK bowlers were not getting momentum to bowl out there, even the edges were going for a six. If Dhoni would have picked Jadeja or Moeen Ali for the last 2 overs of the game then the result should have been different today, as the pitch was slightly in the favor of spinners.
