The 14th season of IPL is going to start from April 9. This time the league is being organized in India. The league was last held in the UAE due to Corona.
The Chennai Super Kings had earlier set up a training camp at Chepauk Stadium. On March 29, the team reached Mumbai. It is here that the team has to play its first five matches. They have their first match to be played against Delhi Capitals on April 10 at the Wankhede Stadium.
According to the Times of India news, a member of the Chennai Super Kings contingent team has been found to be Corona positive. His test came on Saturday after which he has been isolated. According to the news, he did not get close to the sports staff and the players and the team players are safe. The team will continue its practice. According to sources, no player or team member has broken the protocol. According to him, it is quite unfortunate but the team is taking precaution all the way now. Earlier in the Wankhede Stadium, the people of the ground staff were found to be Covid positive. 10 IPL games were to be held at this ground.
Last year also, the Corona bomb was detonated on CSK. Before the league, 13 members of the team were found to be Coronavirus positive. Among them were two players, batsman Rituraj Gaikwad and fast bowler Deepak Chahar. Chahar and 11 other people had recovered before the illness. After two mandatory reports came negative, Chahar and Rituraj also played matches against Mumbai.
