IPL 2021: DRS disappoints RCB
RCB were denied 2 times for wickets by DRS
RCB were close enough to get more wickets early on but the DRS was there to stop them. Rishabh Pant and Stoinis were the ones who got a lifeline with the help of the review system. RCB managed to pick up three early wickets but it could have been more if the luck and the DRS both have favored the Reds.
Rishabh pant was given LBW out on a ball of Washington Sundar. First, the umpire was not so convinced but the appeal was so good from the keeper, bowler, and the Red’s Captain that Umpire gave it out after taking some time. Instantly Pant reviewed it, as Umpire took some time, Pant also had some hesitation in reviewing. Umpire went up to the third umpire and there they found that there was a thin edge, caught on the ultra edge. Umpire had to turn the decision and Pant got another chance to bat.
On the second occasion, Marcus Stoinis was caught LBW and this time Umpire gave it not out. RCB’s Captain Virat Kohli was convinced enough to challenge the decision and he went upstairs. Stoinis was 3meters out of his crease which leads to an Umpire call decision and favored the Umpire’s decision. Reds were denied again by the DRS.
