IPL 2021: Mumbai Indians cannot start slow: Kevin Pietersen
Kevin Pietersen believes that the Mumbai Indians should not have a slow start in the remainder of the league
The Indian Premier League is going to start on 19th September. The first clash is between the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. The game will be played live from the Dubai International Stadium. Kevin Pietersen feels that the Rohit Sharma led squad must aim at a good start to the remainder in UAE. The team cannot afford a slow start starting out. He also added that the Chennai Super Kings have a good chance to claim the title for this year!
“Everybody will expect the holders of the competition, Mumbai Indians, to go well, but they don’t have a good history of hitting the ground running. They tend to lose their first few games and then come good towards the end of the tournament. We are already towards the end of the tournament now. Rohit Sharma’s side can’t afford to lose three or four games before they start playing because there’s so little time to play catch-up. He believes that firstly, the MI squad is capable of aiming big. Secondly, they have a fantastic squad. As a result, if they aim at winning the league that thought should be there from the first ball itself. Best of luck to both the teams for their first match of the second phase, go well!
