IPL 2021: Reemergence of Prithvi Shaw

Prithvi Shaw has made CSK bowlers, dance to his tunes, with smashing hot innings.

Last season’s miserable show by Prithvi Shaw in IPL, led to diminished morale for the young opener from Mumbai, and also excerpted as one of the prime reasons, why he was dropped from the Indian Team as well as Delhi Capitals in later stages of the IPL 2020.

The whole saga of him getting dropped from the Indian team following disarray of form. In an interview with The Indian Express, Shaw said, he ‘broke down when he came to know about him not getting a place for the remainder of the Australian tour.

To find his value back, to grind his worth back, Shaw insisted upon the A-List cricket and worked towards improving his morale and concerns. He has certainly busted his veins off in the domestic league and has performed exceptionally well in Vijay Hazare Trophy. His performance literally amazed experts and pundits. He scored a total of 754 runs for Mumbai with an astonishing average of almost 190 and a strike rate close to 135.

The main area of concern according to the critics was his high backlift, which has been his natural stance ever since he started his career. Ravi Shastri made him realize the problem and even he met Sachin Tendulkar to get rid of the high backlift thing.

Everyone was waiting to see this guy score runs as he’s been in a ‘Red-Hot’ form beforehand the start of IPL 2021 and he’s off to a flying start. DC is chasing a Target of 189 runs set by CSK, and PRITHVI SHAW’s just smashed shots, left, right, and center, and made 72 runs from just 38 balls. He has significantly worked on his problems and looks like a different player.
