Kolkata Knight Riders opener Shubman Gill plays his 50th IPL Match today at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The Match 34 of the 2021 Indian Premier League between Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders is currently underway at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. It would be both Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders 2nd Match of the 2nd Leg of IPL 2021 in UAE. It will be a milestone for Shubman Gill as he plays his 50th IPL Match today.

The 22-year-old Shubman Gill made his Indian Premier League debut for Kolkata Knight Riders on 14 April 2018. Gill was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders for ₹1.8 crores. He till now has scored 1119 runs with an average of 31.1 with a strike rate of 124.9 in IPL.

The right-handed opening batsman, Shubman Gill played crucial innings in Kolkata Knight Riders 9 wickets victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore in their first match of the 2nd Phase of 2021 IPL as he scored 48 off just 34 deliveries. As a result, he was named the CRED Power Player of the Match for that knock.

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders are currently in the sixth position in the 2021 IPL Table. Whereas, Mumbai Indians are in the fourth position and Rohit Sharma is back captaining the Mumbai Indians.
