IPL 2021: SRH had an effective Vijay Shankar and an ineffective Rashid Khan against Mumbai Indians
In a turnaround, Rashid was a quiet affair in the game but Vijay Shankar shined.
Sunrisers Hyderabad stalwart, an Afghan mystery spinner, Rashid Khan had a pretty quiet game but an unlikeliest of the performance from Vijay Shankar with the ball surprised all the pundits, who surely didn’t expect this.
Rashid was definitely not on the same level as he wasn’t able to get any wickets from the pitch but still bowled nice which deprived him of getting a false tag to his name. Rashid bowled 4 over and although didn’t concede many runs, he wasn’t able to take a wicket, which is a surprise considering his stature.
No wicket, but what a brilliant spell from Rashid 👉 0/22

On the contrary, the performance that surprised all the fans was of Vijay Shankar. Vijay Shankar took 2 crucial wickets of Rohit Sharma and Surya Kumar Yadav. He was economical with his 3 overs spell in which he conceded only 19 runs only.
What a comeback from Shankar right after Sky hits him for a six. Chips it straight back to the bowler the very next delivery.

Although the tides for the day surely turned upwards down for SRH bowling, the best part has to be SRH as a bowling unit performing well. SRH relies heavily upon their bowling and it’s a good sign if their bowling department is back to its form. Although, the 19th over, he dropped a sitter catch of Kieron Pollard in the boundary which was another disappointing effort on the field for SRH.
