IPL 2021: VVS Laxman can’t figure out what let Wriddhiman Saha catch COVID-19

Sunrisers Hyderabad Batting coach VVS Laxman has no clue from where Wriddhiman Saha caught the deadly virus.

IPL stands suspended and all the stars alongside staff have either made their exit back, or in process to do ir so. Sunrisers Hyderabad coach VVS Laxman is still at all doubts over what let SRH’s Wriddhiman Saha, catch the deadly virus, inside the alleged water tight Bio-Secure bubble.

After Wriddhiman Saha and Delhi Capitals’ Amit Mishra’s testing positive for COVID-19, IPL 2021 was immediately suspended the season.

VVS Laxman while writing his column for the Times Of India, had some pretty strange observations.

“We had full confidence in the protocols that had been put in place even when we moved from one city to another, but once we learnt of the positive tests in the KKR and CSK camp, our apprehensions mounted. We [SRH] had just finished a match against CSK and several of us caught up with old friends, so there was understandable anxiety and unrest until the test results were out,” VVS Laxman wrote.

VVS Laxman continued,” Wriddhi was slated to play Sunday’s match against Rajasthan Royals but felt a little under the weather on Saturday night. We immediately placed him in isolation and, despite our prayers, he returned a positive test. We are still wondering how, despite taking all precautions, Wriddhi got infected.”
