IPL 2021: Why so SLOW, Ishaan Kishan? ask fans after 2 consecutive fails
Ishan Kishan wouldn’t want to remember this innings.
Match No. 8 of the VIVO IPL 2021 between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad is off to a start, in which Mumbai Indians while batting first, scored 150 and set a target of 151 for SRH to chase. But in a strange way, their batting performance was not up to the MUMBAI INDIANS standards. One of the reasons for this turned out to be an in-form, Ishan Kishan.
He scored 12 off 21 balls, definitely not a T20 innings by any sorts. He struggled a lot against Mujeeb and Rashid’s spin duo attack but at least you expect an in-form Kishan to score run-a-ball from the balls he faced.
Jonny Bairstow takes a stunning catch, brilliantly taken by him. Ishan Kishan is goes now for 12 of 21 balls.

This is quite interesting that his strike rate was just 57.5, which is 79 less than his average IPL career strike rate of 137. He usually is known for his high striking abilities and abilities to hit big sixes.
Ishan Kishan gone for 12(21). Guess he has never struggled this much to keep the scoreboard moving. Just Chepauk things, this season!#MIvsSRH
That 105M monster six by Pollard was something to rejoice. Hope Hardik Pandya delivers some more in the death now!

This is anticlimactic considering his stature as a No. 4 placed hitter and it will be interesting to see whether MI bowling units will be able to defend 151, if not, then this innings from Ishan will be one of the reasons for Mumbai’s loss.
