Karun Nair finally found some form with the bat on Saturday (May 24), scoring 44 runs in the match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Karun Nair Smashed Four Consecutive Boundaries vs PBKS
He had started his IPL 2025 season with an impressive 89-run knock against Mumbai Indians – his first IPL game since 2022. That performance earned him a regular spot in the Delhi Capitals team.
However, after that big innings, he struggled. In his next six matches, he only crossed 20 runs once and got out for zero twice. His 44-run innings against Punjab Kings was a much-needed return to form.
For the first time since his 89-run knock in the first game of the season, Karun Nair crossed 40 runs again. He was eventually out for 44 off 27 balls, hitting 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Karun Nair started his innings carefully, scoring 11 runs from his first 9 balls. But things changed in the 11th over when he faced spinner Praveen Dubey. Earlier in the same over, Sediqullah Atal was dismissed on the first ball, and Nair got the strike after a single on the second ball.
The wicket didn’t bother Karun Nair. He went on the attack and smashed Dubey for four consecutive fours in the same over, quickly moving to 27 runs by the end of it.
