This isn’t the first time MS Dhoni has shown off his tennis skills. In December last year, the World Cup-winning captain was seen trying his hand at tennis. Professional tennis player Sumeet Kumar Bajaj had earlier shared a couple of pictures with Dhoni holding the winner’s trophy. “Finally. Hattrick 2018 2019 2022. MS Dhoni’s Love for Tennis: From Ranchi to the US Open 2023
MS Dhoni’s love for tennis is well-known. He attended the US Open 2023 and watched a quarterfinal match between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev from the stands.
Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in August 2020, is now preparing for his 18th season of the IPL. Ahead of his highly anticipated return, Dhoni acknowledged that maintaining top fitness levels is not easy.
“I am not as fit as I used to be. A lot of effort now needs to be there on what you are eating and I am doing very specific things to be fit for cricket. We are not fast bowlers so our requirements are not that intense. So, what helps me in between eating the right thing and going to the gym, is playing a lot of sports,” MS Dhoni said during a chat with Eurogrip Tyres on YouTube, as per The Indian Express.
Chennai Super Kings retained MS Dhoni as an uncapped player for Rs 4 crore for IPL 2025. Dhoni has already led the team to five IPL titles. Last year, he handed over the franchise captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad.
