Rajasthan Royals (RR) benefited from Riyan Parag’s powerful finish. After Nitish Rana’s dismissal, RR was at 138/3 in 14.4 overs. In the final 32 balls, RR scored 67 runs, losing just one wicket. Parag was supported by Hetmyer, who scored 20 runs off 12 balls, and Jurel, who remained unbeaten on 13* off 5 balls. Together, they helped RR set a total of 205/4 on the board.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) carried their momentum from the batting innings into the field. They picked up wickets easily in the powerplay. In the very first over, Jofra Archer was on fire, taking the wickets of Priyansh Arya and Shreyas Iyer.
Sandeep Sharma then dismissed Marcus Stoinis, leaving PBKS struggling at 26/3 in 3.3 overs. When Prabhsimran Singh was out to Kumar Kartikeya, PBKS were at 43/4 after 6.2 overs. At this point, RR had a strong grip on the match.
Nehal Wadhera and Glenn Maxwell fought back for PBKS with a vital 88-run partnership for the 5th wicket. Wadhera played a key role, scoring 62 runs off 41 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes. Maxwell contributed with 30 runs off 21 balls, hitting 3 fours and a six. However, their dismissals saw PBKS slump to 131/6 after 15.1 overs.
