Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) superstar Virat Kohli was once again at his animated best as he was seen giving a fiery send-off to the Punjab Kings (PBKS) captain Shreyas Iyer during the ongoing first qualifier between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings.
Virat Kohli’s Fiery Send-Off Rekindles Rivalry with Shreyas Iyer
Virat Kohli, who is known for his flamboyant attitude, once again stole the show with his aggressive celebrations during the ongoing first Qualifier of IPL 2025. He was seen indulging in a heated altercation.
For the unversed, it all started during the previous match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings. After Jitesh Sharma hit the winning runs, taking RCB to the winning line, Virat Kohli, who was at the non-striker’s end, turned towards Shreyas Iyer and celebrated aggressively.
Shreyas Iyer was visibly upset with Virat Kohli’s celebration, and soon he made it very clear with his expressions during the interaction.
Josh Hazlewood’s Crucial Wicket Shifts Momentum
Coming back to Tonight’s match, Virat Kohli was once again at it as he gave Shreyas Iyer an aggressive send-off during the match, reigniting the memories. Shreyas had to walk back to the pavilion at the end of the third over after his side lost its second wicket.
Before Iyer walked in to bat, the responsibility of leading the team to a competitive total was on his shoulders, however, Shreyas failed to live up to the expectations on the all-important day. Iyer was dismissed by the RCB’s bowling monster, Josh Hazlewood.
Iyer edged the ball behind the stumps, and Jitesh Sharma took an easy catch. Right after, a fired-up Kohli ran to his teammates, stared at Iyer, and let out a loud roar to celebrate. Preity Zinta looked sad watching the PBKS captain walk back.
