RCB batted first, and Phil Salt gave them a great start by hitting some exciting shots during the powerplay. He scored 32 runs off 16 balls before being stumped by MS Dhoni. Devdutt Padikkal also played a quick and useful knock, scoring 27 runs off 14 balls.

Virat Kohli struggled to time the ball after facing an over from Matheesha Pathirana, where he hit a six and a four off consecutive balls. He was dismissed for 31 off 30 balls. RCB captain Rajat Patidar was dropped three times in two overs but capitalized on the chances, scoring 51 off 32 balls with four fours and three sixes.

In the final over, Tim David hit three sixes off Sam Curran to help RCB finish with 196/7. Noor Ahmad was the top bowler for CSK, taking three wickets.
