Pat Cummins Return In SRH: The IPL 2026 was shaping up to be one of the worst seasons in history for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have recorded only 2 W and 3 L from 5 games played this year. Added to that, multiple key players missing due to injury has made matters even worse for SRH.

Pat Cummins Could Soon Return to the Hyderabad Squad

In fact, fans are being raised about Pat Cummins’ eventual return as the captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad and one of the best fast bowlers in the world. Cummins’ Return to Be Decided After Fitness Test

According to media reports, Cummins is scheduled to undergo a fitness test in Australia. If he successfully clears this test, there is a strong possibility that he will rejoin the team shortly thereafter. It is anticipated that he could arrive in Hyderabad by April 17.

Hyderabad is scheduled to play its next match on April 18 at its home ground, the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium; consequently, Cummins’ availability could prove to be of immense importance to the team.

Cummins Had Previously Indicated He Would Miss Half the Season

Even before the season commenced, Cummins had stated that he might only be able to participate in the latter half of the tournament. He mentioned that he was continuously working on his bowling and training every third day to ensure he would be fully fit by the midway point of the tournament.

Cummins had arrived in India on March 27 and linked up with the squad. He had joined the team prior to SRH’s opening match, but subsequently returned to Australia to focus on his fitness regimen.

Hyderabad’s Team Set to Improve with Cummins’ Return

According to media reports, his fitness test is scheduled to take place within the next 24 hours, following which the suspense surrounding his availability will finally be resolved.

Should Cummins pass his physical, returning to the team will greatly benefit the Sunrisers. His leadership as well as his experience will help strengthen them considerably which could make Hyderabad a much stronger team in their immediate matches.
