The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction was held in Abu Dhabi on December 16 in which all the 10 teams took the opportunity to give the final touch to their squads.
For the IPL 2026 season, each franchise was allotted a total budget of ₹125 crore to build a squad of a minimum of 18 players and a maximum of 25, with up to eight overseas players. The teams filled a total of 77 slots a pool of 369 cricketers.
Rajasthan Royals acquired Ravi Bishnoi for a whopping Rs 7.20 crore after an intense bidding war with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings.
The 2008 champions also invested in three uncapped Indians – Sushant Mishra, Yash Raj Punja and Vignesh Puthur.
Last month, RR traded their long-standing captain Sanju Samson with CSK’s veteran Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran in a fresh lookout to the new season.
They retained star batters Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel and the young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
