When it comes to the Indian Premier League (IPL), it’s crucial to take wickets at the right time in order to disrupt the momentum of the opponent team and make a comeback in the game. Picking up wickets in the powerplay not just takes down the top-order batting lineup of the opponent team but also majorly slows down the scoring rate.

Well, that’s a major reason why the captains deploy their finest bowlers, including the swing specialists and spearhead pacers, in the power-play in order to destroy the top-order batting lineup of the opponent team and get a breakthrough right at the beginning of the match.
