India will travel to Ireland to play a three-match T20I series. Here is a preview of the series, fixtures, squads and other details.

The India vs Ireland T20I series will kick off on the 18th of August. Ireland will host India for the important series which will see the return of Jasprit Bumrah as the captain and Rajasthan Royals pacer, Prasidh Krishna who will be playing competitive cricket after a gap of 11 months. The Asian Games skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad will be Bumrah’s deputy for the series. Here is a preview of the series, squads, fixtures and other details.

The series holds a great amount of importance for the Indian team as they will want both Bumrah and Prasidh to prove their fitness ahead of the Asia Cup which starts on 30th August. India will play their first game of the Asia Cup on the 2nd of September against arch-rivals, Pakistan. It will be a test for Tilak Varma as well who is in talks for being placed in the middle order in the Asia Cup.

India will be coming after a defeat in the T20I series against the West Indies and will be looking to get back to winning ways before the Asia Cup and marquee event of the year ICC Cricket World Cup.
