Irfan Pathan predicts India’s playing XI for the T20 World Cup

The series between South Africa and India ended up in a draw after the fifth T20I got cancelled due to rain on Sunday.

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan named his Indian playing XI for the upcoming T20 World Cup. After the 5-match T20I series between India and South Africa ended up in a draw, commentator Irfan Pathan predicted the Indian cricket team playing XI for the World Cup.

Former Indian pacer had some names that will definitely remain in the playing XI of the Indian team in the T20I World Cup. This will be the first time that Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team in the T20I World Cup. Rohit Sharma is one of the successful captains in the Indian Premier League as the Mumbai Indians’ skipper has won five trophies so far.

Irfan Pathan has kept Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul in the opening and Virat Kohli at No.3. This is still a big question for many Indian fans and experts where will former skipper Virat Kohli bat in this World Cup 2022. The three pacers Irfan Pathan kept in his team are Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, and Harshal Patel. He hasn’t named Mohammad Shami in his playing XI who is in a great run of form since the 2019 World Cup.

Irfan Pathan’s predicted playing XI of the Indian team:

Rohit Sharma (c), KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah.
