Ronda Rousey, who left WWE and pro wrestling in 2023, might return to WWE. The former multi-time WWE World Champion Ronda Rousey’s last WWE match was in August 2023, after which she announced her retirement on Instagram in October.

Rousey’s last storyline was with Shayna Baszler, another former MMA fighter. The two fought at the 2023 SummerSlam in an MMA rules match, where Shayna Baszler defeated Ronda Rousey by technical submission. This was Ronda’s first WWE loss by submission, and it was also her final match with WWE.

Rousey and Baszler had a long history, having trained together in MMA and often speaking highly of each other in interviews. After retiring from WWE, Rousey returned from retirement and teamed up with Marina Shafir to defeat her trainer, Brian Kendrick, and Taya Valkyrie at a Lucha VaVoom event. She also made her debut in Wrestling Revolver alongside Marina Shafir, fighting against Athena and Billie Starkz.

In October, Ronda made her Ring of Honor (ROH) debut, teaming with Shafir again to defeat Athena and Starkz in a rematch. Since then, Ronda has focused on her personal life and stayed away from pro wrestling.

WWE Might Bring Back Shayna Baszler

According to a report, WWE is still interested in working with Ronda Rousey. If Ronda returns and wants Shayna Baszler back, WWE might bring her back too. Bryan Alvarez mentioned, “WWE still wants to do something with Ronda Rousey. Shayna Baszler retired Ronda, or at least her last match in WWE. So I can’t say we’ll never see Shayna again.”

Shayna Baszler was released from WWE last week, ending her 8-year career with the company. She reacted to the release by saying, “No one can offer what I have to offer. Reality. Let the Galaxy burn.” She also reposted posts by Xavier Woods and Michin, appreciating their friendship.
