Arzan Nagwaswalla is picked as a stand by player to join the Indian squad which will fly to England for the ICC World Test Championship Final and the five-match Test series against England. He recently gave an interview to bcci.tv. Here is all about that interview.

23 years old Arzan Nagwaswalla is a left-arm pacer who was the leading wicket-taker for Gujarat during their run to the Ranji Trophy 2019-20 semifinal. He took  41 wickets at an average of 18.36 and was brilliant throughout the tournament.

Considering his brilliant performance he is picked as a standby player to join the Indian squad which will fly to England for the ICC World Test Championship Final and the five-match Test series against England. After the selection, he gave an interview to bcci.tv and shared his thoughts about many of the things such as his future plans.

On being asked about his families the first reaction after being picked up in the Indian squad, he said

“Everyone was so happy and speechless when they got to know the news. I received the call when I was on my way back home and then called up my parents to share the news. When I reached home, some of my friends were there. We cut a cake.”

On being asked about how he is looking forward to the most now as he will be joining the squad as a standby player, he said

“I am excited to meet and see all the cricketers jinko abhee tak bass TV par India ke liye achha karte hue dekhaa hai. They have secured some big wins against Australia and England recently. So, I am looking forward to learning as much as I can from all of them”.

He also told in the interview that Zaheer Khan has always been his idol as he is left-arm pacer as well. Arzan added that It is really hard to digest and believe, honestly. It will take some time to think about this as a reality.
