In his most recent tweet, Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah posted a sweet photo with his mother Daljit. The 28-year-old also included a poignant comment with the photo. For the current white-ball series against the West Indies at home, Bumrah has been rested. Given that he is involved in all three versions of the game, it has been a well-deserved vacation. On Friday, the fast bowler shared a sweet photo of himself with his mum on Twitter. He added the following description to the photo when he posted it:

“Life does not come with a user’s manual; it does come with a mother.”

Over the previous three years, Bumrah has been India’s No. 1 fast bowler in all formats. He has played in 27 Tests, 70 ODIs, and 55 T20Is since making his international debut in 2016. In Tests and one-dayers, the pacer has 113 wickets to his name, with 66 in T20Is. In the shortest format, he is now India’s highest wicket-taker. To surpass him, Yuzvendra Chahal (65) needs two wickets.

The fast bowler was one of four players kept by the Mumbai Indians (MI) ahead of the major auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2022. Bumrah was retained for a 12-crore salary. He made his IPL debut for the team in 2013 and has 130 wickets at an average of 23.03 in 106 outings.

Bumrah is likely to lead India’s bowling attack at the T20 World Cup later this year in Australia, as well as the 50-over World Cup in 2023 on home soil.
