The fast bowler from England was ruled out of the IPL following the same injury which appeared yet again when he was playing a county match for Sussex.

English bowler Jofra Archer suffered an elbow injury after he was playing a county match for Sussex. Jofra bowled only 5 overs in the match and had to be sent out but he wanted to continue for the team.

The fast bowler from England was ruled out of the IPL following the same injury which appeared yet again when he was playing a county match for Sussex.

“If you saw today he’s not going to bowl tomorrow. You’ll have to ask the ECB,” Sussex head coach Ian Salisbury told reporters on Saturday.

“Any time that Jofra can’t bowl you’re going to be frustrated as a leader, or as a team. But it happens. In sport, people get injured. That’s life. That’s a sport.

“He’s still willing to be out there because he wants Sussex to win. They (the ECB) had to permit him to play this game. He’s not our player so they had to give permission,” he added.

England is scheduled to host New Zealand for a two-match Test series, starting on June 2 for which the team is expected to announce on Tuesday.

After the Test series against New Zealand, the English cricketers will meet India for a 5 match Test series at home starting August 4.
