The upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown is going to be wild, as John Cena will face R-Truth in a singles match. R-Truth, also known by his real name Ron Killings, has been making headlines since his shocking return at Money in the Bank. On that night, he attacked John Cena and left fans stunned.
He didn’t stop there. On last Friday’s SmackDown, R-Truth jumped over Cena during a segment and later attacked him in the ring again. These actions led SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to step in and make this match official.
While fans are excited for this one-on-one showdown, WWE’s chaotic nature means we probably won’t get a clean finish. There’s a strong chance that someone might interfere. Here are four WWE superstars who could get involved during Cena vs R-Truth on Friday Night SmackDown.
Logan Paul might try to help John Cena
Logan Paul is always in the spotlight, both in the world of social media and WWE. Despite his fame coming from outside the ring, Logan has proved that he’s no joke inside it. He even held the United States Championship for a while.
At Money in the Bank, Logan teamed up with Cena to take on Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. They lost the match because of R-Truth’s surprise attack. Logan may want revenge. If he still supports Cena, Logan could show up on SmackDown and take out Truth to even the score.
LA Knight might make a statement
LA Knight is one of SmackDown’s biggest stars. Known for his strong mic skills and popularity with the fans, he’s been close to the world title picture and wants to stay in the spotlight. Recently, he’s been battling Aleister Black and the dangerous new group led by Seth Rollins.
Not long ago, Knight also had a heated moment with John Cena during a backstage segment. Since then, Knight has interfered in other matches, costing wrestlers like Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed important wins. It wouldn’t be a shock if he did the same to Cena on Friday, either to send a message or get himself in the title picture.
Jimmy Uso might get involved too
Jimmy Uso is a veteran in the tag team division, but lately, he’s been busy with family drama. With The Bloodline falling apart and Solo Sikoa stepping up as a leader, tensions are high. Jimmy has had confrontations with everyone from his cousins to new faces like Jacob Fatu.
What’s interesting is that Jimmy and R-Truth are good friends on-screen. On the other hand, he also had a cold backstage moment with Cena recently. Jimmy could interfere to help his buddy Truth or simply cause problems for Cena, possibly hitting him with a sneaky Superkick when the referee isn’t watching.
Cody Rhodes still wants revenge
Cody Rhodes is WWE’s top good guy and one of the biggest names in wrestling today. He ended Roman Reigns’ record-breaking run at WrestleMania 40, only to be betrayed by Cena at Elimination Chamber. Cena turned heel and later defeated Cody for the world title at WrestleMania 41 with help from rapper Travis Scott.
Cody hasn’t forgotten what happened. He’s also known to be friends with R-Truth. With that in mind, he might show up during this match to attack Cena and remind everyone that he’s still after the championship Cena stole from him.
