The Kabaddi Champions League (KCL) Player Auction for the inaugural edition took place on December 28 with all eight franchises building their squads. A total of 128 players were picked by all the teams in the run-up to the much-waited kabaddi league.

Each of the eight franchises operated with a total player purse of ₹4 crore to build their squads. They did not shy away from making bold investments as post of the players are stars from Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).

1. Devank Dalal (Bhiwani Bulls) – ₹19.2 L

Bhiwani Bulls made the highest bid of the day as they purchased experience Right Raider, Devank Dalal at Rs 19.2 Lakhs .Starring for Bengal Warriorz in PKL Season 12,  he emerged as one of the breakout performers of the edition with 272 points from 16 outings.

2. Ayan Lohchab (Sonipat Stars) – ₹18.4 L

Sonipat Stars secured Left Raider Ayan Lochab who was the second-highest bid of the evening at Rs 18.4 Lakhs. In PKL 12, he emerged as the season’s most successful player (324 points) and the best raider of the season, with 316 points.

3. Jaideep Dahiya (Faridabad Fighters) – ₹17.4 L

Jaideep Dahiya was acquired by Faridabad Fighters at Rs 17.4 Lakhs. The left cover defender was a key player for Haryana Steelers in PKL Season 12, where he led the defensive unit with 72 points. He finished the season as the second-best defender.

4. Sunil Kumar (Karnal Kings) – ₹14.2 L

Karnal Kings’ top pick was Sunil Malik at Rs 14.2 Lakhs. In PKL Season 12, Sunil played for U Mumba and earned 54 points. He made crucial raids when needed.

5. Ashu Malik (Hisar Heroes) – ₹12.2 L

Hisar Heroes acquired Right Raider Ashu Malik at Rs. 12.2 Lakhs. He led Dabang Delhi to to title glory in PKL 12. He finished the season as one of the team’s primary scorers, with 154 points from 14 matches.
