The first qualifiers for IPL 2024 were played between Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), in which Kolkata Knight Riders won the match on one side and made their place in the final for the fourth time. While batting first, the Hyderabad team could only play part of the 20 overs and scored 159. Then Hyderabad was all out, and Rahul Tripathi scored the most runs. In the qualifier match, Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer scored powerful half-centuries from the Kolkata Knight Riders‘ side, giving the team a wonderful victory in which Venky scored 51 runs in 28 balls and Shreyas Iyer scored 58 runs in 24 balls. From Kolkata’s side, 6 bowlers bowled yesterday. All six bowlers took wickets, and man of the match Mitchell Strac broke the back of Sunrises Hyderabad by taking 3 wickets in his first 2 overs. At the same time, in the middle order, Varun Chakraborty stopped SRH from making a big score by taking 2 wickets. Apart from these two, Vaibhav Arora, Harshit Rana, Sunil Narine, and Russell also took 1 wicket each.
