The encounter between KKR vs LSG in the IPL 2026 turned into a nail-biting contest with the Lucknow Super Giants posting a satisfactory total of 181 runs at Eden Gardens. Mukul Choudhary rescued LSG from a situation where 43 runs were needed off 18 balls and finished the game with his unbeaten half-century, scoring 54 runs off 27 balls.

KKR vs LSG: KKR Post the Target First

KKR batted first and made a total of 181 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. The captain of KKR, Ajinkya Rahane, was the top scorer for KKR with 41 runs to his name.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi also scored 45 runs, short of scoring 50 runs on the day and Rovman Powell, who assisted in the team’s goal of accumulating runs in the final overs, finished with an impressive 39 runs on 24 balls.

After 10 overs into the match, KKR seemed to be on their way to a big score with 98 runs, however, KKR struggled during the middle overs due to the outstanding bowling of LSG bowler Digvesh Rathi and his other LSG teammates.

Ayush Badoni made an exceptional innings, hitting fifty runs off 33 deliveries. He maintained LSG’s hopes through aggressive stroke-making, making many fours and a six. But his dismissal off Anukul Roy was vital to their cause.

With KKR holding the reins at 139/7 in the 17th over against LSG, LSG was facing what appeared to be impending defeat, needing 43 runs off the last three overs, and KKR having lost regular wickets, LSG had just about reached the point of being out-matched and outplayed by KKR.

However, Mukul Choudhary took it upon himself to change that situation with some awesome shots, including a four and an unbelievable helicopter shot for a six, and was able to provide some hope to his team with those two awesome shots.

Mukul turned up the heat in the 18th over.

The equation is now down to 30 runs to win in 12 balls, so LSG are back in this game.

The momentum shifted in the 19th over to LSG : Mukul hit a six over fine leg, Got a lucky edge for a four, then clobbered another huge six over deep mid-wicket off Cameron Green, LSG now is looking to chase 14 from the last over. A thrilling finish awaits.

Final Over Drama: LSG Snatch Victory

Last came the match against Vaibhav Arora, which was all about drama:

Mukul sent two mammoth sixes in the beginning of the over, with just one run required from the final delivery, he failed to hit the ball. However, Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s misfield gifted the LSG a crucial single.
