Game company KRAFTON has shared its financial results for 2025, and the numbers show strong growth. The company reported record yearly revenue and solid operating profit. This is the first time its total revenue has crossed 3 trillion Korean won, which is a major milestone.
The performance was mainly driven by the continued success of its popular game franchises and expansion into new projects.
Revenue Growth Across Platforms
Krafton earned most of its money from PC and mobile games. PC gaming brought strong revenue thanks to the success of PUBG: Battlegrounds. More collaborations, new game modes, and brand partnerships helped increase player engagement.
Mobile gaming delivered even higher revenue. Titles like Battlegrounds Mobile India and PUBG MOBILE continued to grow steadily. New themed events, updates, and regional content helped keep players active.
Console gaming contributed a smaller portion, while other business areas saw very high growth due to new subsidiaries and media related activities.
BGMI Paying Users Rise Fast
One important highlight was the rise in paying users. PUBG MOBILE saw a moderate increase, but BGMI showed much stronger growth in paid users compared with the previous year.
Localized content, India focused partnerships, and special in game items helped maintain strong interest. This strategy has helped BGMI stay one of the most popular mobile games in India.
Strong PC Gaming Performance
On PC, PUBG Battlegrounds recorded its highest yearly revenue so far. Collaborations with global brands, special events, and fresh gameplay modes helped attract players.
Other titles also contributed. New releases such as simulation and creative games launched during the year crossed major sales milestones, which supported overall revenue growth.
Plans for 2026 and Beyond
Krafton plans to keep building its main game franchises while exploring new technology. One major focus is improving PUBG gameplay with upgraded technology, new modes, and user generated content tools.
The company also plans to expand into different genres and platforms to reach more players worldwide.
New Game Projects in Development
Several new titles are currently being developed. These include shooters, simulation games, and mobile projects. Krafton is also working with smaller creative teams to experiment with fresh ideas.
The aim is to build long lasting franchises instead of short term releases.
AI Technology Becoming Important
Artificial intelligence is becoming part of Krafton’s future plans. The company wants to use AI to improve game development, live services, and player experience.
There are also plans to explore how gaming technology can connect with other industries in the future.
Expanding Beyond Games
Krafton is also looking at business areas linked to gaming. Animation, advertising technology, and partnerships in markets like India and Japan are part of this strategy.
This helps create more value from existing game brands while reaching new audiences.
