Tokyo Paralympics 2020, which was postponed ended Today on 5th September after 12 days of sporting events. This is India’s best-ever performance in the history of Paralympics as Krishna Nagar bagged the 19th medal.
22-year-old, Krishna Nagar from Jaipur continued his unbeaten run at Tokyo Paralympics 2020 as he defeated Chu Man Kai from Hong Kong 21-17, 16-21, 21-17 in a match that lasted for 43 minutes. The Men’s Singles SH6 Final was played in Court 1 of Yoyogi National Stadium, Tokyo.

Both Krishna Nagar and Chu Man Kai topped their respective groups and advanced to the semi-final, as they got the better of their opponents and reached the Men’s Singles SH6 Final. Nagar is the 1st ever Men’s Singles SH6 Paralympic Champion.

In the SH6 Classification of Para-Badminton, athletes who have achondroplasia and are short in stature compete. Krishna Nagar took up Badminton in 2014.
However, for India, it was their 2nd Gold in Para-Badminton at the 2020 Paralympics. As Pramod Bhagat clinched gold in Men’s Singles SL3 Final on Saturday.
As a result, the Indian Contingent’s campaign at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020 ended on a high note as they produce India’s best-ever medal tally of 19 with 5 Gold, 8 Silver, and 6 Bronze.
