LeBron James Becomes First Player To Achieve 50,000 Career Points In NBA History
LeBron James achieved yet another milestone as he became the first NBA player in history to score 50,000 career points, a combined regular-season and playoff points.

LeBron James achieved yet another milestone as he became the first NBA player in history to score 50,000 career points, a combined regular-season and playoff points.
The 40-year-old posted the feat during the Los Angeles Lakers’ home game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, 4 March during the first quarter in the NBA regular season game .
James entered the game with 49,999 total points, and his three-pointer deep shot marked yet another career defining moment for the three-time Olympic champion.
James finished with 34 points against the Pelicans after toppling another milestone in his unprecedented career.
“I mean, that’s a lot of points,” James said afterward, rubbing his beard in wonder. “Obviously, the first thing that comes to mind is where I’m from. Picking up the game when I was a little kid and having a love for the sport, and hoping that someday I’d be able to play at the highest level. I’ve been able to do that and really enjoy my career. So it’s definitely an honor. It’s pretty cool to see that.”
The Lakers recognised the milestone at the next timeout, with public address announcer Lawrence Tanter saying: “Ladies and gentlemen, we all have just witnessed history.”

LeBron James Legacy
James was already the NBA’s top scorer after surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s regular-season scoring record on 7 February, 2023, and broke Michael Jordan’s playoff scoring record on May 25, 2017.
Last month, James became the first player in the history of the NBA to have multiple 40+ games at age 40 or higher.
At 40, James is also the oldest player to win the Western Conference Player award, breaking Karl Malone’s record set in 2000 at age 37.
James has appeared in 1,548 regular-season games, trailing only Robert Parish (1,611) and Abdul-Jabbar (1,560). If he returns for a record 23rd season, he will likely surpass Parish next winter.
