List of Previous Presidents of BCCI
The highest position of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the organization that oversees cricket in India, is that of the President.

Despite being an honorary position, the position is highly regarded due to the game’s popularity in India and the BCCI organization’s financial strength. The office of the President has been held by powerful politicians, members of the royal family, and businesses over the years. Each of the BCCI’s 30 affiliates has one vote for electing the president at the annual general meeting. As meeting chairman, the outgoing president also has a vote.
According to the Supreme Court of India, the joint secretary and the senior vice-president of the BCCI would assume the positions of president and secretary, respectively, in the interim. Rahul Johri was chosen to serve as BCCI’s first-ever chief executive officer in April 2016. The three-member Lodha Committee made recommendations for a clear separation between operational responsibilities and those of the governance and policymakers in the board in its report from January 2016. The panel stressed the need for the BCCI to separate its governance and management duties, with the CEO overseeing the management side.
