Lowest RCB Totals: The IPL season 2025 kickstarts today 22nd March with an all-time entertainer rival KKR vs RCB at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Last season numerous mammoth totals and the mark of 300 runs were also expected to be crossed with those fiery batting performances.
On the other hand, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has also been host to several nail-biting matches, but it has also witnessed teams not able to score decent totals on the scoreboard.
A few of these low scores have left fans stunned, with teams getting bowled out for disappointingly low totals. In this article, we will report the lowest totals in IPL history from 2008 to 2024 of RCB.
Lowest RCB Totals In IPL
1. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) – 49 Runs

On 23rd April 2017, RCB created an unfortunate record by getting bowled out for only 49 runs in 9.4 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. This is the lowest score in IPL history, as RCB suffered a humiliating loss in IPL 2017.
2. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) – 68 Runs

RCB’s low score issues persisted in IPL 2022. They were bowled out for a mere 68 runs in 16.1 overs by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 23, 2022, at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. This is among the lowest scores in IPL history, with RCB’s batting unit unable to impress.
3. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) – 70 Runs (2019)

RCB’s dismal record of low scores carried on with yet another disappointing showing. On 23 March 2019, RCB was bowled out for 70 runs in 17.1 overs by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The match showed the vulnerability of the team’s batting during the 2019 season.
4. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) – 70 Runs (2014)

During IPL 2014, RCB once again found themselves in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. On April 26, 2014, they were bowled out by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for only 70 runs off 15 overs in Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. This effort was another of RCB’s poor batting performances in the history of the tournament.
The lowest totals in the IPL by RCB serve as reminders of the unexpectable and ruthless nature of T20 cricket. Though such low scores are rare, they give fans some memorable moments and underscore the value of a good batting performance.
Franchises such as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have always been a star-studded team of the tournament with enormous records but these unfortunate records are also a scar on them in the tournament.
