Marin pulls out of Spain Masters 2021

The European Champion posted on her Instagram account that she will not be participating in this year’s Spain Masters.

The badminton fans from Spain will, unfortunately, miss out on their home favorite player Carolina Marin as she pulled out of the Spain Masters 2021. Marin was also the beaten finalist from last year where she lost Porpanwee Chochuwong of Thailand in a major upset.

The European Champion posted on her Instagram account that she will not be participating in this year’s Spain Masters. The tournament is going to be held in Huelva which is also Marin’s home stadium from 18th May

According to her post, her preparations haven’t been up to the mark and she wants to skip the tournament and also with the Olympics coming up, she’ll look forward to train harder and retain her Olympic title which she won in the previous Olympics in Rio.

She said, “Although we have tried, the preparation in the last month has not gone as we expected and I will not be able to be in Huelva for the Spain Masters.”
