Marvel Rivals is bringing something fresh to the game – a new feature called Customized Color Costumes. With this, players can now change the look of their favorite characters by swapping colors on certain costumes.
But before you get too excited, there are a few things to know about how it works, what’s available, and how to unlock these cool new looks.
What Are Customized Color Costumes in Marvel Rivals?
This feature lets you change the colors of some superhero and villain costumes in the game. You can mix different styles and try out new combinations to make your character stand out. Whether you like a bright look or something more dark and bold, the choice is yours!
However, since the feature is still new, it’s starting as a trial version. That means only a few costumes will support color changes for now. But the developers say more will be added soon, once the system is fully tested.
A Small Catch: You Can’t Use Them on Every Skin
At launch, not every skin can be customized, and you can’t apply this feature to the ones you already own. Plus, you’ll need a special currency to use it – more on that below.
Also, color swaps will only work with new special skins, not old or regular ones. But don’t worry, the developers promised more skins and updates in the future.
How to Get These Customizable Costumes
To get these new color costumes:
- Go to the Marvel Rivals in-game store
- Use a currency called Unstable Molecules
- Each customizable costume will cost 600 Unstable Molecules
If you already have Lattice, you’re in luck! You can trade it for Unstable Molecules at a 1:1 ratio. Just make sure you have enough before visiting the store.
Once you buy the skin, go to the Costumes Interface and start picking your colors. It’s quick and easy!
What Changes When You Use Custom Colors?
When you switch colors on a costume, the changes show up in different parts of the game:
- You’ll see the new colors in the character pick animation
- They will show during MVP scenes
- Even Emotes will use the updated costume look
So, you’re not just getting a color change you’re getting a full-on visual upgrade.
