IPL 2026: Delhi Capitals, who have been so good in this tournament, will get a major boost amid the Indian Premier League mid-season. Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc will join the team before May 1st, ahead of a big clash against the Rajasthan Royals. Cricket Australia allowed him to travel to India. Due to a shoulder injury, he has not played even a single match and was not there for the team in the beginning matches. Now he is fully fit and fine, and he might play on May 1st.

Starc Will Play on 1st May.

As per ESPN Cricinfo, Australian fast bowlers will travel to India on Friday and join them on the weekend. Delhi Capitals will play their next match against the Punjab Kings on Saturday, and they will again play against Royals Challengers Bangalore on 29th April. Starc will not play these two matches because he will prepare and acclimatise with bowling practice before May 1st against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Stadium.

Big boost to Delhi’s Bowling Unit

Delhi Capitals have been one of the strongest sides in this tournament so far. They won the first matches in the beginning, and after that, DC lost a few matches. Mitchell Starc will make this side stronger as Lungi Ngidi, Mukesh Kumar, T Natarajan, Kuldeep Yadav, and Captain Axar Patel himself in a bowling attack, and now, after Mitchell Starc will join the team. No doubt it will become one of the strongest bowling attacks of all franchises.
