After a long break of 33 years, MotoGP is finally returning to Hungary. The race will take place at the new Balaton Park Circuit from August 22 to 24, 2025. This will be a big event for motorcycle racing fans across Europe, as it brings back one of the top motorcycle racing competitions to the country after three decades.
Where Is It Happening?
The Balaton Park Circuit is a modern racetrack located near Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe. The circuit is 4.08 kilometers long and has 17 corners, 10 left turns, and 7 right turns. It’s a technical track that will challenge the riders with tight bends and fast sections. The location next to the lake also offers a beautiful backdrop, making it a special place for both racers and fans.
This is the first time Hungary will host a MotoGP race, even though the country has had Grand Prix motorcycle races before, the last one being in 1992. The Balaton Park event will mark a fresh start for Budapest and the Hungarian motorsport fans, putting the country back on the world map for motorcycle racing.
The event will include races not only from MotoGP, the main premier class, but also its supporting classes: Moto2 and Moto3. Fans attending will get to see the best motorcycle riders in action, showing incredible speed and skill on the new track.
MotoGP In Hungary: A New Experience
Riders and teams face a new challenge at Balaton Park because it’s an entirely new circuit for them. This means there is no past data or experience to rely on, making it interesting to see how each team and rider adapts to the track.
Like all big race weekends, the event at Balaton Park will have more than just racing. Fans will enjoy special activities such as paddock tours, chances to meet the riders, and live entertainment. The organizers have planned modern facilities and services to make sure everyone has a good experience during the race weekend.
The main race at Balaton Park in August 2025 is set to be a major event that will bring top-level motorcycle racing back to Hungary after 33 years and is definitely worth watching.
