Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has announced that he will be producing an animated series, title “Captain 7”. According to the makers, the first season of the series which is already in pre-production, will be based on no other than MS Dhoni. The seven in the title of the series refers to Dhoni’s jersey number which he has wore in many one-days matches. The assignment is said to be a joint venture of MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni’s production house, Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd and Black Orange Brands Pvt Ltd.
The first ever animated series of the country will launch it’s first season probably in 2022.
“The concept and the story is great. It will bring to life my other passion along with cricket,” the former captain said.
Sakshi Singh promised that this will be a show which will be full of adventure. “When BWO came to us with the concept of an animated fiction show based on Mahi, we were on board,” Sakshi added.
Bhavik Vokra, Founder and CEO of BWO said that the team is happy o enter a new area with “Captain 7” where it will take forward the legacy of former Indian skipper.
“Sports is close to our hearts and we are huge Dhoni fans, which is the perfect formula to create “Captain 7″. This partnership with Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd is truly a dream collaboration and we can’t wait for audiences to see the show,” Vora said in an interview.
As noted, the vision of the partnership is to create an animated show which will be followed by the making of a new season every year.
