IPL 2025: On Sunday (May 25), MS Dhoni said he is not retiring from cricket yet. He made the announcement after leading Chennai Super Kings to a strong win over Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

“Not Saying I’m Done” – MS Dhoni’s Honest Take on His Future

There had been a lot of talk about whether the former India captain would end his career after this season. Many thought he might retire last year when he stepped down as CSK captain.

MS Dhoni chose not to retire and played in this season too. Before the match against Gujarat Titans on Sunday, he hinted at retirement, which got fans talking. The experienced wicketkeeper-batsman, now 43, said it’s getting harder to stay fit, and many thought he would announce his retirement after the game.

But for now, Dhoni hasn’t made a final decision. After the match, he said he still has time to think about it and that his decision will depend on how well he can maintain his fitness.

“It depends. I have 4-5 months to decide, there’s no hurry. Need to keep the body fit. You have to be at your best. If cricketers start retiring for their performance, some of them will retire at 22. Will go back to Ranchi, enjoy a few bike rides. I am not saying I am done, not saying I am coming back. I have the luxury of timing. Will think about it and then decide,” said MS Dhoni.

Right after he spoke about his future, many fans shared their reactions online. Check out the reactions of fans:
