BCB Seeks Official Clarification from BCCI
According to a PTI report, officials in the BCB were surprised at how quickly things turned ugly, more so after India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar attended former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s funeral, which had created a sense of optimism in the first place.
A senior BCB source told ESPNcricinfo that the board is still awaiting formal communication from the BCCI on cancelling Mustafizur’s IPL contract. The source went on to say any future steps depend upon official clarification from the Indian board.
