Nathan Frazer, a WWE NXT superstar, has returned from injury
Frazer’s official WWE TV return came on Wednesday; he did compete in an NXT live match in Cocoa Beach, Florida last Saturday.
Nathan Frazer came back from injury on Wednesday’s “NXT 2.0” to build up a fight with Giovanni Vinci.
Frazer emerged in a backstage section prior to Vinci’s bout against Andre Chase and asked Chase U if he could be an honorary flag bearer in the Chase vs. Vinci match.
Following his victory over Chase, Vinci resumed his assault on Chase U’s leader, prompting Frazer to make the save. Vinci escaped in time, but WWE appears to have laid the seeds for a future match with Frazer.
Frazer was last seen on “NXT 2.0” on June 7 in a victory over Santos Escobar.
Although Frazer’s official WWE TV return came on Wednesday, he did compete in an NXT live match in Cocoa Beach, Florida last Saturday. Inside a Fatal Four-Way Match, Grayson Waller beat Frazer, Chase, and Dante Chen.
Frazer was injured in a bout against WWE NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes on June 10 at the NXT live event in Tampa. Prior to the injury, he appeared to be on a run, with victories against Waller, Wes Lee, and Escobar.
In May, the 23-year-old Frazer transitioned from NXT UK to NXT. One of the valued students of Iowa’s Black & Brave Academy, which was founded by Seth Rollins and Marek Brave in 2014, is the self-described “Prodigy of Pro Wrestling.” Frazer competed in a number of series of matches for AEW in 2020 following a strong run on the independent circuit as Benjamin Carter. He also attracted attention with a strong showing versus Scorpio Sky in the TNT edition of “Late Night Dynamite” airing on September 22, 2020. Late in 2020, WWE finally agreed to sign Frazer, who was then given a job with the NXT UK brand.
