Star NC State player DJ Burns Releases New Song to celebrate 2nd March Madness Appearance

RALEIGH, N.C., March 17, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Big South 2022 Player of the year D.J. Burns releases his first single “Beast Boy” to commemorate his 2nd appearance at the NCAA March Madness Tournament. The 22 year old NC State Wolfpack Center, who is frequently mentioned in coverage on ESPN and CBS Sports, is heralded by many basketball analysts as one of the best big men in college basketball. Although he is called a Beast on the court by many fans, this is his first time taking a real shot at rapping; joining the likes of major NBA players Kobe, Shaq, Lebron and Damian Lillard who also released music throughout their careers.

“Beast Boy” is an infectious high energy track that speaks about his drive and competitive nature on the court. D.J. made the song in his apartment in between studying and practicing with music producer 6ravo. In the song lyrics he shouts out some of his Wolfpack teammates who had an impressive season going 23-10, earning them a slot in the NCAA March Madness Tournament.

As an avid fan of rap, he says he uses music as a way to escape, relax and have fun. D.J. has always had a serious love for music, playing 5 instruments throughout elementary and high school and making beats and rap freestyles with his friends.

D.J. wants everyone to listen to his song and tap into their inner beast, which he describes as the inner power that won’t let anything stop a person from reaching their goals. You can find “Beast Boy” on D.J.’s SoundCloud at DJBurns and YouTube at DJBurns30.
