Held in the Czech Republic on 24 June 2025, the event featured many top-level athletes competing for the top prize. Neeraj Chopra, on the other hand, outplayed them all and marked his second gold just a few days after winning the Paris Diamond League 2025.

The 64th edition of the Ostrava Golden Spike 2025 was a World Athletics Continental Tour Gold label event that saw Chopra deliver a commanding performance. After an initial foul on the first attempt, he gained his momentum to throw 83.45 meters on his second effort, which put him in third place. With another mind-blowing throw of 85.29 meters in the third attempt, he secured a gold medal.
Meanwhile, South Africa’s Douw Smith threw a personal best of 84.12 meters to finish in the second position, while Anderson Peters completed the podium with his best throw of 83.63 meters.
Neeraj Chopra’s Remarkable Consistency

The Ostrava Golden Spike Meet 2025 was Neeraj Chopra’s fifth competition of the year, so far, during which he maintained remarkable consistency. He began the year by winning the Potch Invitational Meet in April, followed by a second-place finish at the Doha Diamond League, where he broke the 90-meter barrier, setting a new national record. Then he finished second at the Janusz Kusocinski Memorial in Poland before claiming the first position at the Paris Diamond League.
Training under the legend Jan Zelezny, he is now looking ahead to competing next at the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 in Bengaluru on 5 July 2025.
