Neymar pens down a new contract with PSG

He will be staying in Paris till 2025

The 29-year-old Brazilian star Neymar Jr. has signed a new contract with Paris Saint-German. He will be staying in Paris till 2025 with a salary of around €30m/season after taxes + add ons. The contract also includes the bonuses which will trigger when he will be winning the Champions League with the squad.

“I’m very happy to be extending my contract with Paris until 2025,” Neymar told the PSG website.
“The truth is that I’m very happy to be a part of the club’s project, to try and win titles, to try and achieve our biggest dream which is the Champions League.”

Neymar came to PSG from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 with a record fee of €222 million. Though Neymar has suffered a lot in his career in PSG, he is still worthy of this heavy salary. The last contract was going to expire this summer.  There was speculation of his reunion with Messi at Barcelona. But, the new deal ends the hope of a reunion in Barcelona. Rumors suggest that PSG will still try to sign Messi as a free agent this summer.
