Novak Djokovic advances to quarter-finals of US Open 2021
Novak Djokovic made a comeback as he lost the 1st Set to USA’s Jenson Brooksby, the World No. 1 is just 3 Wins away from Calendar Year Grand Slam
The World No. 1, the 34-year-old Novak Djokovic fought back after the 20-year-old Jenson Brooksby from the USA won the opening set by 6-1. The Serbian then won the following three sets with ease, with the final scoreline reading 1-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2.
The Round of 16 Match, between Novak and the 99th-ranked Jenson, lasted for about 2Hours and 58Minutes at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.

Novak Djokovic now just needs 3 more wins to complete his Calendar Year Grand Slam. A first in Men’s Singles in the last 52 Years. The last time, this was done in Men’s Singles was in 1969 when Australian Rod Laver swept all four major titles in the same year.
If Novak Djokovic manages to win this year US Open, then this would be his fourth US Open title having won it three times in past; 2011, 2015, 2018. With that also setting a record of 21 Grand Slam Titles in Men’s Singles edging past both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
In the quarter-finals, he will encounter the sixth seed Italian Matteo Berrettini which is scheduled to take place tomorrow. Both Djokovic and Berrettini earlier faced each other in the 2021 Wimbledon Final.

The Italian won past his Round of 16 by defeating the German player Oscar Otte in four sets and booked his quarter-finals berth.
