Speculation over the participation of Novak Djokovic in the ATP Finals 2025 is finally close to coming to an end: the Serbian superstar is anticipated to compete in Turin, according to Italian Tennis Federation President Angelo Binaghi, a development not likely to displease his global fan base.

This news arrives as Djokovic gets ready to take on Alejandro Tabilo in the Round of 16 at the Hellenic Championship in Athens special event for the world No. 1, as it is organised by his family.

Novak Djokovic to Feature in 2025 ATP Finals

Binaghi has given fans some reassurance after concerns over Djokovic’s possible absence during the ATP Finals in 2025, basing his comments on a reduced tournament schedule.

Speaking to Italian media, Binaghi confirmed:

“We’ve got confirmation that Djokovic is coming to Turin. Musetti deserves to be in the top eight, and he already deserved it in 2024.”

Djokovic, already qualified for the prestigious season-ending event after reaching the semi-finals in all four Grand Slams this year, will be seeking a record-extending seventh ATP Finals title. A record prize pool of $15.5 million has been announced for the 2025 ATP Finals in Turin.

The 28-year-old has considerably cut back on his tournament play this season, restricting his schedule to mainly Grand Slams and selective Masters events.

Since the US Open, Djokovic has played only at the Shanghai Masters and there’s speculation that he might opt out of the ATP Finals to rest and gear up for 2026.

After much speculation, though, the Italian Tennis Federation announced that Djokovic would be in attendance, guaranteeing star power and high anticipation for the year-ending showdown in Turin.

Djokovic is currently competing at the Hellenic Championship 2025 in Athens the city’s return to the ATP calendar after three decades. The event, staged at the Athens Olympic Sports Center (OAKA) Spyros Louis, holds great significance for Djokovic, who recently moved his family to Greece.

Sharing his excitement on Instagram, Novak Djokovic said:

“I hope you guys are as excited as I am to play in Athens, which has the ATP tournament back again after 30 years. This arena is one of the most famous basketball venues in the world home to Panathinaikos, one of Europe’s best clubs. It’s such a historic venue, and it’s a great honour to play here.”

Speaking in Greek, Djokovic added that he looks forward to seeing fans fill the stadium to witness world-class tennis at the Hellenic Championship.
