Chelsea have officially signed Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli on a permanent deal. The deal was announced by the Premier League side on Saturday, 16th July on their official website. The photos of their new centre-back (Kalidou Koulibaly) have been released by the club’s official Twitter and Instagram handles. Kalidou Koulibaly was seen in the new jersey of Chelsea in the latest photos.
Kalidou Koulibaly was always ready to join the ‘Blues’ as the club is also in the next season’s Champions League. Chelsea targeted so many defenders this summer and ended up buying Kalidou Koulibaly. They targeted Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, Matthijs de Ligt who wants to join Bayern Munich this summer, and Gvardiol. After the talks with Juventus for the defender Matthijs de Ligt was broken in between, Thomas Tuchel (Chelsea FC manager) wanted the club to sign Kalidou Koulibaly.
They bought the defender very quickly as the former Napoli man wanted to join them. Chelsea lost two of their top centre-backs this summer as Antonio Rudiger joined La Liga side Real Madrid and Christensen joined FC Barcelona. Koulibaly will be now playing in the Premier League and he has well experience in the other leagues.
