In a career spanning over 17 years, Karthik has done it all for India, be it T20I’s, Tests, World Cup or Champions Trophy. Based on his vast experience of international and domestic cricket, Karthik recently analyzed limited-overs matches between India and England for Sky Sports.

Karthik while talking to the Times of India in an interview, expressed his views about Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant.
“He lends flexibility to the team and the management has the opportunity to play the extra batsman or the bowler as per requirement. And what is most important is the way he instills fear in the mind of opposition. Pant has the effect that Virender Sehwag or Adam Gilchrist used to have on rivals.” Karthik said.

Pant has been in excellent form. Pant scored 274 runs at an average of little over 68 against Australia in the Test series Down Under, 2020-21.
